Who is Al Bartlett?

Albert A. Bartlett is Professor Emeritus of Physics at the University of Colorado in Boulder. A distinguished and dedicated educator and widely published author, Dr. Bartlett recently received the first George Gamow Memorial Lecture Award in recognition of his "most significant contribution to the public's understanding of science." Besides an illustrious career as a physicist, educator, and activist for stopping population growth, Dr. Bartlett is perhaps best known for his lecture, "Arithmetic, Population, and Energy: The Forgotten Fundamentals of the Energy Crisis," which has been given over a thousand times, including repeat performances to members of Congress at the U.S. Capitol.
